A better way to phrase “fighting voter fraud.”
E.g., “There’s no doubt about it, America, there are ballot brigands roaming up and down this country. Hang them now before they hang our chads!”
Chris’s notes: This is a preemptive suggestion for the crafters of anti-voter fraud legislation, for when too many observers start realizing that such legislation is disenfranchising too many voters for something that still can’t be proven.
No one wants to hear how fighting voter fraud is causing collateral damage. But ballot brigands? Those guys sound too dangerous to exist if they do exist, so it’s a lot easier to convince a constituency to carpet bomb the rolls.
